While you’re at the polls today, look for volunteers with Environment Maine and support their efforts to stand up to Gov. Le Page and preserve our natural heritage.
Environment Maine and a coalition of health officials, workers, and clean energy and construction companies has come together to put a citizens initiative on the November 2012 ballot to expand clean, renewable energy in Maine…. More solar. More wind. More energy efficiency. Clean energy, made in Maine. Governor Le Page has stated that ridding Maine of its Clean Energy Standard will be one of his top priorities in 2012. This is your chance to speak up to our 38% elected governor.
Environment Maine has a very short time to collect all of the signatures to qualify the initiative for the ballot, so they’re organizing a massive one-day signature drive this Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. The goal is to collect 20,000 signatures in one day. It can be done with your help. Please pass the word along
